They call themselves independents but you can predict what will come out of their mouths based on their race and colour. They are the righteous and outspoken proponents of democracy in Guyana. “We don’t support the PPPC”, they say. “We are not racist”, they say but African people know the venom they spew, the strident positions they take are inconsistent with their own history of positions taken against the brutal and murderous PPPC regime.
They are hypocrites and what drives them is the racist notion that Black people are ill-equipped to lead Guyana. They also believe that Black people must not succeed in commerce. They are willing to allow decedents of Africans; the people who built Guyana to be their security guards, their policemen, their children’s teachers, their nurses and their retail help.
These are the people who protested the parking meter installation because a Black mayor introduced it and a Black man managed the project. They managed to kill the project but offered no alternative. Chaos continues and they don’t really care. They want a society where the rich can pay to avoid the rules, while the poor must abide slavishly.
These people are racist, greedy, entitled and unpatriotic. History will judge them harshly however, because in their quest for money and power, they sold their souls to a vile, murderous, narcissistic man. Not surprisingly, they have been able to turn off their collective conscience as they meet to conspire with the devil in their quest to derail the Granger presidency.
They may wash, but no amount of soap and water will wash the blood they now have on their hands for their complicity with a murderer. Shame on them. Shame on them all!
