Chief Justice Roxanne George was careful to state that it is the Returning Officer’s responsibility to decide on the method used to count votes in region 4. The Returning Officer decided to use the spreadsheet to complete the count, just like the Returning Officers for 8 other regions used their spreadsheets to complete counts in regions 3, 6, 2, and 9, all regions won by the PPPC. Yet today, the PPPC and their third party minions have once again chosen to disrupt the proceedings (clearly in contempt of the Chief Justice’s order), forcing GECOM Chair, Justice Claudette Singh to delay the counting of votes pending a review of the Chief Justice’s written decision.
Jagdeo and his minions are now also calling for their Berbice supporters to come down to Georgetown for a massive protest. We are asking our brothers and sisters from Berbice not to be stupid. Do not allow yourselves to manipulated by wealthy politicians. Do not come down to Georgetown to wreak havoc, loot, burn and engage in other acts of hooliganism. You will have everything to lose, and while you place yourselves in harm’s way, the PPPC have begun to send their wives and children overseas.
All right thinking citizens must say NO to the PPPC’s corruption, election fraud and nefarious plans to divide Guyana. We are one people, one nation, one destiny. We are a sovereign nation and the international powers must not attempt to influence the outcome of our elections.
